Gardenwise Design and Consulting Our Process in the Yakima Valley
Gardenwise follows a clear, consult-first process designed to bring clarity before commitment. Every step is grounded in your space, your goals, and the realities of your site so recommendations are practical, seasonal, and realistic.
Some clients move forward with additional support. Others take the consult guidance and implement independently. Both paths are supported
Our Process
Step 3:
Review and Project Acceptance
Step 4:
Payment and Scheduling
If your project appears aligned, you will receive a Welcome email with a short pre-consult questionnaire and preparation guidance. This helps ensure our time together is focused and productive.
All Gardenwise projects begin with a paid Starter Garden Consult. After payment is completed, you will receive a scheduling link to book your on-site visit.
Step 5:
Starter Garden Consult
Step 6:
Summary and Next Steps
Once your questionnaire is completed, it is reviewed to confirm fit, scope, and readiness. If the project is accepted, you will receive a brief welcome email with next steps.
Begin by completing the intake form on the Book a Consult page. This provides an overview of your space, goals, and priorities. Each submission is reviewed personally.
Step 2:
Pre Consult Questionnaire and Prep Sheet
Step 1:
Request a Consult
Following the visit, you will receive a concise set of deliverables, including a written summary with key site observations, a visual layout with design notes, and clear recommendations for next steps. These materials are designed to help you move forward confidently, whether independently or into a design phase.
During this 90-minute on-site analysis and consultation, your property is evaluated in context. This includes analysis of sun exposure, soil and irrigation considerations, existing layout, and planting opportunities, along with discussion of your goals and constraints.
Our process is designed to support clear decision-making, respect your time and budget, and provide guidance that is grounded in the season and the specific conditions of your site. The experience is intentionally calm and collaborative, creating space for thoughtful planning rather than quick fixes.
